Atmospheric delicate restrained electro-acoustic music.
Warm, glowing sound gardens with minimal music, electronic, jazz and world music touches.
|
background
The four musicians had played invarious combinations at the monthly Quadelectronic improvised electronic sessions that Chris & Jim organise. Sensing a similar aesthetic, it was proposed the four gather at Chris's Aloft studio to record. That afternoon's charmed recording session and a couple of days mixing, resulted in this album.
It was evident at the time that something special was happening. Each player playing ina restrained way, contributing to the whole sound. The players, from different musical backgrounds, somehow meshed perfectly with no one sound predominating. Soundscapes, subtle rhythms start and fade, new ideas are gently introduced. Listening back it is hard to believe that the music was improvised.
