More Chanting With Evocative Music More meditative and uplifting chanting against a lush music soundscape.
background
Coming a year after the Three Jewels And A Lotus album, Ajahn, Achalo - Buddhist monk in a small monastery in Petchabun, Thailand - called on multi-instrumentalist, producer Chris Conway in Leicester to arrange 2 more tracks of mantras. 2 more tracks were added a couple of months later to make the EP into an album.
Special guests - Khun Noppadet chanted with Ajahn Achalo at the monastary, and Chloe Singer sang and chanted and Mo Coulson added Celtc harp in the studio in Leicester.
The long track Kwan Yin Bodhisattva Mantras has a Chinese feel, reflecting the text.
Tara Bodhisattva Heart Mantra features Chloe Singer's voice reflecting feminine nature of the text.
The opening and closing mantras are of a more meditative, ambient nature to balance the more rhythmic tracks. Track 4 is in fact a compendium of 5 chants.
